about

'The End' is the 4th single to be released from Miranda's forthcoming debut album 'Ferine'.

Inspired by riot footage protesting environmental destruction of the Earth, ‘The End’ is a dystopian beats ballad likening the aforementioned chaos with the final stages of a relationship where lack of care, disregard and apathy may be at the forefront. It is a call to know when to say stop, when to leave situations that are no longer serving us as much as it is a call to recognise the destruction that humans' lack of regard is causing to the planet, and that we are all responsible as human beings.. That it can only go on so long before it will be 'The End'..

The song deals with the complex emotions that come with choosing to end something no longer serving us alongside waking up to the destruction that's been caused. Reconciling these feelings with the strength and individual power we ALL have is the core theme of ‘The End’.

The song is produced by the Mercury Music Prize-nominated producer, Choque Hosein (Black Star Liner).

‘The End’ is the follow up single to ‘Impossible’ and will be the third single from Miranda’s upcoming album, ‘Ferine’.

Featuring a striking video, once again professionally shot by Tristan Haley (Channel 4’s Black Mirror), ‘The End’ is set to build on the success of her previous singles, backed by BBC Introducing and BBC 6Music.

lyrics

When luck was down
And talk was cheap
We took it out in to the streets
With sodden hands
And rotten meat
When life was young and love was sweet

When all the sirens had become
The End
You took it down remember when?
The End
With gutter mouth and sodden hands
The End

It's over now
What's done is done
I sent you stormin' to the sun.
I close my eyes
And count to ten
What's done is done
But remember when?
